Firstly, we’re delighted to be featured in the Times of India today. We hosted journalist Sharangee Dutta on a field visit to two schools in Moti Bagh district in Delhi last week, and her article “For the love of teaching” appears in today’s Education Times supplement. The article quotes Amita Budhiraja, one of the Mentor Teachers supporting our programme in Delhi, saying: “Initially, teachers were not receptive to innovative teaching methods and refused to come out of the comfort zone and lacked the enthusiasm to learn anything new. Now, they have realised the importance of connecting with students, preparing for the class and using examples to make it lively.”

We also had the opportunity to appear on NBS television in Uganda, with an interview with our Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Manager Brenda Namulinda featuring on the show Live at 9. Brenda spoke about the three pillars of intrinsic motivation, and discussing how we motivate teachers in the Ugandan education system in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports. A short clip of this interview is featured on Facebook.
