STiR Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Deepa Sharma and Matthew Reeves as new members of our finance committee, effective from March 2021.
Deepa is Humanitarian Business Operations Lead at Save the Children UK and co-lead of the Collaborative Cash Delivery Network. She is a qualified accountant with a background in finance, strategy, operations and change management.
Deepa said: “I am pleased to be able to support STiR Education in its mission to deliver sustainable interventions to support reforms to the education system. STiR has developed an innovative model that works in partnership with the government to improve teaching and learning. This approach offers a scalable solution to strengthening the system at all levels.”
Matthew also brings huge experience as the Finance Director for an international charity. He has previously worked in global finance for the British Council and has a background in the public, corporate and charitable sectors over a 20-year career.
Matthew said: “Having worked with education professionals and seeing the impact they can make, I’m keen to support STiR in its global ambition; the focus on intrinsic motivation providing a sustainable outcome that could serve to both improve education and support wider society.”
