This report showcases the collaboration between STiR Education and Simple Education Foundation (SEF) with SCERT in November 2022. The new Competency Building Teacher Training Module (CBM) was designed with the purpose of improving teachers’ in-service capacity.  Departing from traditional workshop training, this initiative took a unique approach—leveraging classroom demonstrations conducted by the highly skilled Teacher Development Coordinator (TDC) cadre. The TDC cadre, nurtured and empowered by the STiR Education team over the past six years through our Learning Improvement Cycles, played a crucial role in these demonstrations.

The STiR’s team, in conjunction with SEF, actively contributed to designing and facilitating the operations of the classroom demonstrations. Our teams were on the ground, closely observing and monitoring these demonstrations. This collaborative effort also involved SEF representatives, District Coordinators (DCs), and Mentor Teachers (MTs).

We hope this report serves an example of power of collaboration and synergy among different NGO partners. By leveraging the unique expertise within each NGO, we can aim to mutually work towards the shared objective of strengthening systems and capacity building of teachers and officials. Additionally also amplifying our work through this collaborative endeavour. A big shoutout to everyone involved in making this collaboration a success!

– Shadab Ahmed and Surbhi Nagpal (STiR Education)
