Former STiR CEO receives major honour

STiR is incredibly proud to share that our former CEO Sharath Jeevan has been appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the UK’s New Year Honours List 2022. This award recognises extraordinary people who have made achievements in public life and committed themselves to serving and helping the UK, and Sharath’s award is given for his services to the field of education.

Sharath says: “This honour happens to be in my name, but it is really a reflection of all the hard work of the whole STiR team. A year after handing over leadership of the organisation, I am in awe of what we have all collectively accomplished. I am really excited about the future of STiR and the contribution it will continue to make as we go bigger and deeper.”

STiR CEO Girish Menon says: “We are delighted that Sharath has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to global education. Everyone at STiR is indebted to Sharath for his visionary leadership and we are deeply committed to building on the platform he created to make a greater impact for millions of children and teachers around the world.”
