STiR Education is delighted to announce the appointment of Yoni Nurdiansyah as the Executive Director (ED) of STiR Education and Yayasan Bakti Pendidikan Unggul (YBPU) Indonesia. With this appointment, Mr. Nurdiansyah also joins STiR Education’s global leadership team. Yoni joined the STIR-YBPU partnership in March, 2023 and has been driving our work in Indonesia over the last few months. Our programme currently reaches 5,503 teachers and 93,939 students in the country. Bakti Barito Foundation is proud to collaborate with STiR Education through YBPU.
Before joining STiR-YBPU, Yoni was a senior program manager, deputy school director, school principal, teacher, and head of the academic program in public and private education sector institutions in several locations in Indonesia. Yoni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Nottingham, and a short course diploma from Arizona State University.
Yoni said, “It’s exciting to be leading our work with teachers and officials. Working with them allows us have a school-wide impact, which in turn can have a community-wide impact. Building the capacity of teachers and officials safeguards the sustainability of school improvement practices”.
Yoni believes that great teachers make ordinary students extraordinary, they inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
