We are pleased to share that STiR has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Government of Lumajang Regency in Indonesia. This MOU will enable us to begin our operations in the second Indonesian district, after successfully functioning in Kota Kediri for the last two months. We were grateful to be joined by the Regent of Lumajang, Bapak Thoriqul Haq, who signed the MOU on behalf of the government.
We have further signed a cooperation agreement with the Culture and Education Agency (CEA) of Lumajang along with our long-standing partner, Yayasan Bakti Pendidikan Unggul.
The programme will support the CEA to improve the quality of education in Lumajang schools. To achieve this, it will strengthen the existing working groups for supervisors, principals and teachers of public primary schools where they will learn new strategies and embed them into their professional practice. The theme for our first term will be ‘Growth Mindset’.
The partnership ceremony was attended by Yusuf Ageng Pangestu, S. Pd. – Section Head of Teachers and Education Personnel; Girish Menon, CEO STiR Education; Drs. Agus Salim, M.Pd. – Head of Lumajang Education and Culture Agency; Dian Anis Purbasari, Head of Yayasan Bakti Pendidikan Unggul; Syaful Bahri, S.H. – Secretary of Lumajang Education and Culture Agency; and Herwanto, S.
