We are excited to welcome these exceptional individuals, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our organisation. Their diverse backgrounds and deep commitment to education will enrich our Board discussions and guide our strategic direction in the years ahead. We look forward to their valuable contributions as we continue to advance our mission of transforming education systems worldwide.
Victoria Collis, with a background in international education, brings invaluable experience from her work in various countries and her roles at the Eden Academy Trust and Mosaik Education. Reflecting on her appointment, Victoria shared, “Day-to-day pressures make it easy for educators to lose sight of why they chose their profession. STiR’s commitment to helping people hang on to this is incredibly important. I am looking forward to playing whatever part I can to support this mission.”
Leah Anyanwu, currently a Programme Specialist at the LEGO Foundation, brings her extensive experience as an educator and advocate, having worked across various NGOs in Sub-Saharan Africa. Leah’s dedication to quality education programs and her passion for teaching are evident in her commitment to STiR’s mission. Regarding her appointment, Leah said, “STiR imagines a world where teachers love teaching, and this is exactly what motivated me when I was in the classroom. I am thrilled to join the STiR board and look forward to collaborating with the team to ensure that children truly love learning.”
Euan Wilmshurst, a senior adviser and board member with extensive experience across philanthropy, NGOs, and the private sector, joins us from Denmark. He has previously been engaged with organisations such as Education.org, the Global Schools Forum, and Street Child. Expressing his excitement about joining the STiR Education board, Euan remarked, “I am thrilled to be joining the STiR Education board, where I can bring my strategic communications expertise and deep knowledge of the global education sector to support an organisation dedicated to rekindling intrinsic motivation in education, a mission that aligns perfectly with my passion for creating meaningful change and engaging communities in the transformative power of education.”
With their diverse backgrounds and shared commitment to education, Victoria, Euan, and Leah will undoubtedly enrich our Board discussions and strengthen our efforts to transform education systems worldwide.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
