We were delighted to host colleagues from IDFC AMC for a school visit in Malur Block, Kolar District, Karnataka. IDFC AMC has been a strong supporter of our work in India in recent years. It was wonderful to be joined by Melvin Mathew (Associate Vice President of Corporate Communications) and Swati Singh (Head, Human Resources and Admin), alongside our own team members Vivek Chettur, Raghu Ramanujam and Sinjini Mookherjee.
The visit consisted of an overview of our organisation with an emphasis on the Karnataka programme structure and delivery. They interacted with teachers, Cluster Resource Persons and Block Resource Persons in the school while also taking interest in the challenges faced by teachers and how STiR’s programme has impacted them.
The team was also invited to witness an ongoing programme with school children. This was an insightful visit and a sense of bonding and collaboration could be witnessed between schools, teachers and students.
Melvin said, “Thank you for organising this visit. The interactions we had with the team, the officials, teachers and children were really insightful for us. The respect and influence that your team has within the community was very evident. We could clearly see the impact of the systems and processes introduced by STiR Education in helping improve the intrinsic motivation of the teachers.”
Vivek said: “We are grateful to IDFC AMC for taking the time to visit our programme. We are proud to be partnered as we work towards a world where teachers love teaching and children love learning. We hope that our collaboration will last many more years and enable us to reach millions more children across India.”
