STiR is proud to have been featured in the September edition of a Ugandan government newsletter.
The Teacher Instructors Education and Training department (TIET) is STiR’s mother department in the Ugandan Ministry of Education and Sports. This department is responsible for the training of pre-service teachers as well as supporting in-service teachers through coaching, mentoring and development of pedagogical skills. We partner closely with TIET to deliver our programme in Uganda.
The article provides an overview of our Uganda programme, and features a visit from Mr. Alex Kakooza, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports, to our work in Luwero district in April 2019. We were delighted to host Mr Kakooza, and we continue to work with his office on our sustainability plan to embed the programme into the Ugandan system in the long term.
Read more in the newsletter here – and find out more about our work in Luwero district in our case study here.
