STiR features in Childhood Education journal

STiR has recently been featured in the Childhood Education journal , Volume 98, 2022 – Issue 4. This piece was originally written by Mark Butcher, Associate Head, Donor Partnerships and Communications for Taylor and Francis Online.

This publication focuses on our approach and why we choose to focus on the intrinsic motivation of teachers and officials in order to create a better learning environment in schools. With Covid-19 shutdowns, children have suffered a huge learning loss which needs to be addressed as an urgent priority. We need motivated educators now more than ever. At STiR Education, we support government education systems to improve learning outcomes for children by increasing the intrinsic motivation of everyone involved.

“STiR is a wonderful program for me. You introduce new strategies which bring more happiness and curiosity for my class, and students engage more in their learning.”

—Ms. Suma, teacher, Government Primary School Debhuru, Mysuru district, Karnataka, India

We are determined to create a world where teachers love teaching and students love learning. To achieve this vision, it is important that our message is spread across the world and more and more individuals aspire to get intrinsically motivated to provide quality education to all children.

We are grateful to Taylor and Francis for choosing to publish this article about our story and contributing to the cause of quality education.
